Holiday Parks in Powys

Powys the mid-Wales county is made up of the three ancient counties of Montgomeryshire, Radnorshire and Brecknock. Covering 2000 square miles, Powys extends from the edge of Snowdonia in the north to the Swansea Valley in the south. The most famous of its attractions is the Brecon Beacons National Park, which covers 500 square miles and 4 mountain ranges. Glyndwr's Way follows the footsteps of the Welsh Prince and hero, Owain Glyndwr, through the beautiful Powys countryside. Offa's Dyke, built by King Offa of Mercia in the 8th century to keep out marauding Celts, has over 2/3rds of its 168-mile length in the county.
